How do I upload a song to MS Digital India?
To upload a song, log in to your dashboard, navigate to the 'Create Release' section, fill in the track metadata (Title, Artist Name, Lyricist, Composer), upload your audio file (WAV format) and cover art (JPG format), and click submit.
What are the required specifications for Audio Uploads?
Your audio file must strictly adhere to the following standard requirements:
  • Format: Uncompressed WAV (.wav)
  • Bit Rate: 16-Bit
  • Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz (44100 Hz)
  • Audio Channels: Stereo
Note: MP3 format or compressed audio files are strictly not accepted by digital stores.
What is the Cover Art (Poster) size and format requirement?
Your artwork must meet the DSP guidelines to avoid release rejection:
  • Dimensions: 3000 x 3000 pixels (Perfect Square / 1:1 Aspect Ratio)
  • Format: JPG only
  • Color Mode: RGB
Rule: Do not include social media handles, phone numbers, website links, or promotional text like "Out Now".
How long does it take for a song to go live on stores?
Once submitted, our Admin Quality Control (QC) team approves and processes your release within 1 to 4 hours.
  • Store Delivery Time: Each store operates according to its own ingestion timeline. Depending on the platform, standard delivery takes between 1 to 5 business days.
  • Copyright Notice / Manual Verification: If an automated copyright match occurs, human verification and clearance are required, which typically takes 1 to 5 business days.
How many days in advance should I submit my release?
To guarantee that your song goes live on all stores upon your intended release date without delays, we strongly recommend submitting your release at least 5 to 7 business days in advance.

2. Release Statuses & QC Tracking

Understand your release lifecycle, review statuses, and dashboard indicators.

Status Guide
What do the different Release Statuses on my dashboard mean?
Here is what each status on your releases page indicates:
  • Pending / Submission Queued: Your song is submitted and awaiting Admin QC approval (1–4 hours).
  • In Progress - Locked: Your metadata and audio are currently locked during active QC review.
  • Delivering: Approved by Admin and currently being transmitted to digital stores (1–5 days).
  • Distributed: Successfully delivered and live across streaming platforms.
Why is my song showing 'Re-delivery' or 'Re-delivery Editing' status?
Re-delivery means that an issue was flagged during delivery (such as a metadata error, audio match, or artwork correction). You can edit the flagged details under Re-delivery Editing and re-submit your release for manual verification without creating a new submission.
Tip: Always check the Alert Bell Icon to see the specific note from the Quality Control team.
What happens during the Quality Control (QC) check?
Our QC team inspects your release against strict streaming platform rules:
  • Verifies audio format (16-Bit, 44.1 kHz WAV Stereo).
  • Checks cover art dimensions (3000x3000px JPG) and ensures no contact details or links are printed.
  • Validates artist names, track titles, and language tags.
  • Runs automated copyright scans against existing catalog databases.
How do I request a Takedown for my released song?
If you need to remove your song from streaming platforms, go to your dashboard, select the track, and choose 'Takedown Request'. Once submitted, the status will update to Taken Down or Offline, and your content will be removed from all DSPs within 5 to 7 business days.
What are the Quick Action icons (Store URLs, QC, Alert, ETA) on my dashboard?
The Quick Action icons help you monitor release progress in real-time:
  • Store URLs: Direct links to your live release on platforms like Spotify, Apple, and Wynk.
  • QC Bell Icon: Shows Quality Control approval status and review notes.
  • Alert Bell Icon: Highlights copyright claims or metadata flags requiring action.
  • ETA Clock Icon: Displays the estimated time left for full platform distribution.

Critical Policy: Keep your Master stem sessions, vocal recordings, and licensing agreements readily accessible for swift dispute clearance.
